Mark Toren, BA, CPC, Principal & Founder
 Born in Leeds, Mark Toren grew up in London England in his early years. A graduate of Montreal's Concordia University, in 1992, he began his professional career in the search industry. He was one of the first Senior Account Managers for Adecco & Manpower Staffing Services at the head office. He then launched the recruitment call centre division for Contemporary Personnel, later bought by Spherion. Throughout the 1990's, Mark continued building his career in senior sales roles building relationships with large banks, trust companies and investment firms with the two largest global staffing companies. In 1995, he assumed the position as Recruitment Manager for Rogers Wireless in Toronto. In 1998, he held the position of Vice President, Sales & Marketing, at Anne Whitten Bilingual Human Resources (the oldest bilingual staffing company). In 1999, Mr Toren was appointed Vice President, Co-Founder, Talent in Motion. In Sept 2000, he became Founder & Managing Director of Altura Search Partners & Altezza Staffing Partners. He remains its active principal today.
Mark Toren attends various speaking engagements and is a frequent writer and contributor on various articles. Altura Search Partners publishes a semi-annual newsletter ('Announce') focused on the asset management industry. Mr. Toren's articles have been featured in the investment industry's leading publications, including Advisor's Edge, the Investment Executive & The CFA Analyst. He remains a guest speaker at numerous educational & industry association events across Canada & the U.S. He is widely considered a leading authority on the asset management industry in North America.
Mr Toren is an affiliate member of Canada's prestigious Portfolio Management Association of Canada, an affiliate member of the CFA Institute, the Investment Advisor's Association, member of the Association of Canadian Employment Search & Staffing Services, the Human Resource Professional Association, the National Club, Montreal's Atwater Club as well as the Toronto Board of Trade.
Mr Toren currently resides in Toronto. He lives with his four fe-lions (felines) named Fish, Fries, Fetuccini & Falaffel

Ms LaRocque joined the firm in May 2010. She has over 10 years of experience with the investment industry. She has worked in various roles with firms including the former Goepel Shield Mcdermid, Raymond James, Blackmont & National Bank. In keeping with tradition, her industry experience enables clients to receive a level of understanding unique to industry professionals.

Ms Tabacznik is an Associate Recruiter and specializes in middle-back office support roles with investment firms. Her role also involves client & marketing support. She has spent the last 5 years with the firm. Ms Tabacznik is also a student at Laurier University completing her Bachelors with a Double Major in Health & Contemporary Studies.
