Search firms often sell their clients on the notion that they have the 'largest' or 'biggest' database of 'qualified' professionals. But what exactly does this statement really mean?
'Large' & 'Biggest' are fallacious, misleading statements: the fact is, the larger the applicant database (or pool) simply means the greater the existence of 'mediocrity' and 'average' within it. We don't accept this premise. We may (and must) look at the largest pool of talent, yet Altura only accepts applicants who can demonstrate and embody performance excellence that far exceeds our client's standards.
